Guinness Rum Espresso

Recipe: Guinness Rum Espresso

 

Caramel chocolate melted in coffee, then poured onto ice with spiced rum and stout and topped with milk chocolate shavings. That’s a yes please.

 

Guinness Rum Espresso 

Serves 1

 

INGREDIENTS:

50ml spiced rum (preferably a dark spiced rum such as The Kraken)
1 small square of caramel centered chocolate
1/2 tsp brown sugar
30ml hot strong espresso coffee
60ml Guinness
Milk chocolate shavings
Ice
Cocktail shaker

 

METHOD:

  1. Put caramel chocolate square in a small cup along with sugar and pour over hot espresso coffee. Stir until sugar and chocolate have melted.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add coffee mix, rum and Guinness and shake vigorously.
  4. Strain into a coup or martini glass.
  5. Finish with shavings of milk chocolate on top
