Orange Rosemary Gin & Tonic


It’s easy to infuse your own gin and less expensive than buying shop bought brands. Here is a classic combination of orange and rosemary with a touch of peppercorn. If in season try using blood orange, they give off a great pink hue. Otherwise a standard orange will be perfectly suitable.



Orange Rosemary Gin & Tonic

Makes 4


200ml gin
2 large slices of orange or blood orange
1 rosemary twig
4 whole black peppercorns
Tonic water for serving



  1. In an air-tight lidded jar or container combine gin, orange, rosemary and peppercorns. Make sure rosemary and orange are submerged in the gin.
  2. Leave for a minimum of 8 hours or overnight for best results.
  3. To serve: Fill a tumbler with ice, pour in 50ml of gin, 60ml or tonic water and garnish with orange slices.
